For HPLC packing materials, “meq (milliequivalents)/g” and “meq/100 g” are widely used. With SI units, the ion exchange capacity is expressed in “mmol/g” or “cmol/kg”. For polymer packing materials, “meq/mL” and “meq/L” are also used.
